CELEBRATION
A GQ-Style Editorial Meets Afro-Fusion
Release Date: August 6th, 2026
Following the release of Cultural Exchange, Chisom returns with Celebration, a two-part music video that fuses Afro-fusion, cinematic storytelling, and contemporary African culture into a bold visual experience.
At its core, Celebration explores the relationship between music, style, and movement. Set against a backdrop of refined executive spaces before unfolding into an energetic celebration, the film juxtaposes luxury editorial aesthetics with synchronized choreography, champagne, and the distinctly Nigerian tradition of money spraying—capturing both elegance and exuberance within a single narrative.
Throughout the project, Chisom continues to bridge influences that rarely intersect. West African cultural references meet witty lyricism over Afro-fusion production, while luxury fashion imagery is paired with choreography inspired by Central African dance traditions. The result is a visual identity that feels equally at home in music, fashion, and film.
The video's second act shifts into a bold, minimalist visual style inspired by the groundbreaking work of Hype Williams, channeling his iconic use of color, composition, and movement while remaining rooted in Chisom's own artistic perspective. Rather than recreating familiar imagery, Celebration uses those influences as a foundation for a distinctly African story told through rhythm, symbolism, and style.
With Celebration, Chisom continues building a body of work that extends beyond the traditional music video, creating cinematic experiences where music, culture, and visual storytelling carry equal weight.
